The Sunderland Airshow 2018 begins at 4pm on Friday, kicking off a weekend of events which will pull in thousands upon thousands of visitors to the city's coastline.

4pm - the event site opens

4pm to 5.50pm - Introducing Stage at Cliffe Park

Featuring local acts Olivia Glover, Liam Kendal, Channy Thompson, Beth Macari ,He Knows, She Knows, Geoff Mull and Jennison

6pm to 6.05pm - the official opening of the Sunderland Airshow 2018 at the stage in Cliffe Park

6.05pm to 6.25pm Band of the Royal Marines perform on at the stage in Cliffe Park

6.05pm to 6.25pm - The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - CANCELLED

6.30pm to 7.05pm - Indian Dance Extravaganza on the stage at Cliffe Park

7.15pm to 7.40pm - the RAF Red Arrows display

7.40pm to 8.20pm - The Greatest Show on Earth on the stage at Cliffe Park
