The new team is hoping people will find out more at an open day on Sunday, February 12 at The Life Centre, High Tunstall, in Elwick Road.
Spokesman Matt Turnbull said: “Tri-Life is a new triathlon team in the town and has been together for only three short months.
“During this time we have gained massive momentum. We have more than 50 passionate members, we have contributed to setting up a Junior Park Run in the town.”

Matt added: “Beyond this, development is what we are passionate about and we know there are many many adults in our area that would love the chance to try triathlon, but wouldnt know where to begin.
“We want to take away that mystery and worry and open our doors to come along and see that we are just like you and this is a sport for anyone.
“Likewise, we are putting a lot of time and resources into youth development and urge parents to bring along their children to our open day, or indeed one of our development sessions throughout the month to join in, have fun and learn more.”
