Good friends
The picture of the couple at Crimdon bee hive huts (Mail, April 9) is of Tot and Nellie Howarth.
They had a son, Colin, and they lived in Ash Crescent, in Horden.
They had a cabin in Happy Valley and took me.
Tot worked at Horden Colliery on the screens, after working underground.
They were very nice people.
I lived at 17 Ash Crescent and my parents were their good friends.
