Got a spot in variety show

This is the reason she was jumping for joy.

She had just been given a spot in a hotel variety show in Bournemouth.

So off she went, and did a couple of years.

As time went on she came back to her roots and got involved in local amateur operatics, including in Washington and Sunderland.

Dawn now lives in Washington with her husband, Chris, and daughter Melissa, 24.

She is surrounded by other family members – her son Scott (28), another daughter, Ashley (21), and four grandchildren.

She comes from a show biz family.
