Hartlepool care home shows its support for RNLI

Residents and staff at a Hartlepool care home welcomed charity volunteers to a fundraising event recently.

Queens Meadowheld a held a pie and peas evening in honour of the RNLI organisation.

And the Hartlepool home raised £135 from donations and selling tickets for £3, with all proceeds going to the life-saving charity.

A traditional meal of pie and peas was served to the residents, and various entertainment was provided, alongside a game of bingo and a raffle.

Julie Armstrong, home manager at Queens Meadow care home, based in Stockton Road, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who attended and donated towards such a great organisation – the RNLI.

It was a great evening enjoyed by all.”

Volunteers from the RNLI attended the evening to share the enjoyment.
