Hartlepool firm donates spare safety clothing to good causes

Health and safety trainers Approach Training Safely, based in Brougham Enterprise Centre, was delighted to be given a pile of hi-vis clothing from Cape Engineering of Middlesbrough.

It was after Cape Engineering Services Limited acquired Redhall Engineering Solutions Limited, and decided to donate various Redhall-branded clothing, most of it brand new.

James Holt, general manager of Cape Engineering, said: “Cape were delighted to help Approach Training Safely (ATS) with the donation of recycled coveralls and assorted personal protective clothing.

“ATS have made good use of the clothing by distributing them to homeless people who greatly appreciated them, retained some for use when delivering training, and provided some to a local allotment for use by their senior citizens.

“By making good use of the recycled protective clothing, Cape has been able to assist local good causes.”

Kelly Robson, a director of Approach Training Safely, which provides a host of health and safety qualifications, said: “The donation was massively welcome for us.

“It has gone to quite a few good places and also for use by our learners.”
