Advanced Retail Solutions Limited, who distribute professional hair and beauty products both in the UK and Europe, is expanding its business and workforce and is looking for young people to join the team.

Positions will be made available in business administration, customer service, media and in the warehouse.

And the news comes during National Apprentice Week.

The company has just expanded into the former Hartlepool Mail building in the town’s Wesley Square - developing top of the range offices in parts of the building as well as areas dedicated for the storage of their many hair care products. They also have a second office and distribution centre in Manchester.

Rob Collier, Head of Sales & Brand Development, has over 10 years of experience in the hair and beauty industry. He said: “We’ve just bought a 30,000 sq ft building and refurbished the entire building. It’s cost well over seven figures so we’re excited about it. We’ve created office space as well as a warehouse and a media suite.

“We have diversified the business, by developing 28 premium office suites, creating a premium town centre business hub for businesses new and established companies to thrive.”

Working alongside prestigious salon chains such as Toni &Guy, Label M, as well as NEXT Retail’s Signature Range, ARS Ltd is an already established company.

Rob continued: “We’re ideally looking for eight people to join our growing business. We want career minded individuals of good calibre.

“We’ve already hired two young people for a business admin role and a warehouse role.”

Rob is working with Hartlepool College of Further Education to fill his available apprentice positions.

“The brilliant thing about these apprenticeships is they are going to allow young people to learn a multitude of different aspects of the business. Take the administration role for example, the apprentice will learn about not only admin tasks but also sales and marketing and once his or her apprenticeship is finished we’ll give them the option of where they would like to work within the business.

“It’s important to get young people in the door that are willing to learn. We want to be able to mould an apprentice into someone who is a great asset to the team. Someone, who will grow with the business and learn the necessary skills to succeed with us.

“What’s key for these apprenticeships is finding someone that wants to thrive and learn. The hair and beauty industry is a multi-billion pound industry in the UK and its growing. We want someone with questions and ideas.

“We have meetings every day to keep everyone in the loop about what’s happening and to share ideas. We want to create a workplace that’s a combination of youth mixed with experience.“
