The Hartlepool RNLI volunteers were paged at 9.11pm on Sunday, July 29, by Humber Coastguard to assist a two metre dinghy with three people on board that had suffered mechanical failure off Seaton Carew.

The inshore lifeboat launched at 9.21pm and was alongside the dinghy at 9.23pm.

It was then towed to Hartlepool Yacht Club slipway where it was taken ashore.

The inshore lifeboat returned to the Ferry Road lifeboat station and was refuelled and made ready for service by 10.00pm.
