Hartlepool stage firm is ready to light up the world and take on more staff

A company which specialises in staging, lighting and pyrotechnics has moved to a bigger home.

Jobs could also be on the way in the future as Artistic Solutions looks to grow even further.

The firm has expanded into Enterprise Court on the Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool and technical manager Daniel Brobbel said; “After four years, we have moved to a new unit and we are very happy here.

“It has given us an interface with the public and to hold meetings.

“We have an area where we can hold meetings with clients.”

Mr Brobbel described the current developments at Artistic Solutions as “part of a larger forecast of what we want to do over the next five years.”

Three full-time staff and a team of casual staff work for the firm which caters for events ranging from gallery and museum installations, to conferences and award ceremonies, concerts and theatre performances.

It also covers catwalks and fashion events and provides audio and visual equipment with matched dynamic lighting displays and stages.

It is working hard to do more installations of theatre equipment and hardware, particularly in conjunction with schools and colleges.

“We do a lot of switch-ons, fireworks and typical outdoor summer events and we are trying to move into more installation work.”

The company is owned by Jo Brobbel and Daniel said there were hopes to take on more full-time staff in the next two months, in time for the autumn and winter.
