Hartlepool United boss Craig Harrison reacts to Dagenham defeat

Pools' promotion hopes hang by a thread after their latest defeat - a 4-2 reverse in East London against Dagenham & Redbridge.

At risk of sounding like a broken record, Harrison thinks the goals his team are conceding are just not good enough, especially if Pools are to even get close to reviving their season and muscle in on the play-off race.

"It's getting a broken record," the manager said.

"We created a lot of good chances, but we have conceded four goals.

"You won’t win many games conceding two last week, two the week before and four today."

Poolies who'd made the 10-hour round trip to Victoria Road to cheer their side on made it known to the manager and the players just how unhappy they were at the final whistle.

But despite many on the outside not seeing too many positives from the performance, Harrison did.

"We had the chances to win it still, but wrong decisions are being made and that’s the summary of it all," he said.

"We got back into it, got a goal and even after conceding the fourth we got one back and still had chances to score more."
