Hartlepool United in double transfer swoop as young defender signs
The 17-year-old left-back spent time on trial with the club towards the end of last season when he played in a friendly game against Fulham and for the Youth Team in their final fixture at Bradford City.
Martin has most recently been on a scholarship with Scottish Championship outfit Queen of the South.

Hide AdOfficials at Pools say complications over international clearance north of the border meant the pacy defender returned to England.
"James is another who has caught our eye and has great potential," said Pools boss Craig Hignett.
"He’s a talented full-back who is aggressive out of possession and positive when on the ball so we saw plenty there to work with and we’re delighted to get him on board."
Martin becomes the third youngster to agree terms with Pools this summer following the arrivals of goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski and defender Ben Pollock, a former Newcastle United defender who also joined the club on Tuesday.
