But Margate boss Nikki Bull doesn't think the former Colchester striker, who has scored nine goals in National League South this season, will be leaving this month.

Stevenage, Bristol Rovers and non-league Barrow have all been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old but it remains unclear whether he would welcome a move to the North East.

Pools boss Ronnie Moore is looking to add a striker to his squad before the January transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday.

But the chances of signing Ladapo appear remote.

Asked if he was expecting any offers for Ladapo this month, Bull told Kent Online: "I would say no.

"In this day and age, even at League One and League Two level, with the exception of one or two teams, people want to do their homework a lot more because of the financial implications.

"A few years ago, a young striker (who had) three or four good months, someone would take a gamble on him.

"Now, people want to do their due diligence a bit more, research the player.

"I've said all along that I believe he will play at a much higher level."

Barrow are in 16th place in the Vanarama National League, a division above Margate.
