Heritage group celebrates the spirit of Billy Elliot

To coincide with the staging of Billy Elliot – The Musical at Sunderland Empire in April, Easington Colliery Heritage Group has teamed up with East Durham Creates and the Creative Learning Team at Sunderland Empire in a project to celebrate The Spirit of Billy Elliot.

The group is looking for 25 people from Easington to take part in activities to coincide with the staging of the musical – all people need is a passion for Easington.

If you are aged 13 or over and are available to come along to a meeting on March 31 in Easington, and all day on April 7 for a trip, then register your interest by emailing [email protected] or call 07789 548153 with your name and contact details by March 18.

Billy Elliot – The Musical is at Sunderland Empire from April 6-30.
