Ignore the media critics
Like we demonstrated in the Referendum, the media and the political elite living in their Westminster bubble are out of touch with the real world and the issues that concern ordinary people in the UK.
The reason for this opinion is down to the result in Hartlepool’s Headland ward election (Mail, October 8).

Hide AdIt returned the following result: UKIP 496, Labour 255; the former taking over 49% of the vote.
This is a true reflection of the strength of UKIP in the North East, and the wider country outside of the metropolitan areas.
You might ask why I am not distraught at the goings-on in Strasbourg, or the rapid departure of the recently elected new leader, which I would rate as disappointing.
We have more to consider than a couple of, to my mind, career politicians who have brought the party into disrepute.

Hide AdCareer politicians are not what true UKIP members aspire to be.
Getting elected is what we need to do to make the changes we all want for our society.
UKIP will get over these setbacks and the grassroot members will, as we have in the past, dust ourselves off and get on with working for our supporters and their hopes for a better future.
Believe in UKIP and ignore the media assassination attempts on our party.
