Intruder disturbed during attempted break-in on Hartlepool home

A householder found a would-be burglar in their home in the early hours.

Police have appealed for information after the attempted burglary on Tunstall Avenue in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred on Monday at around 6am when the occupier of the house disturbed an intruder in the conservatory.

The suspect is described as being around 5ft 6in tall, of proportionate build with short, dark hair and wearing all dark clothing.
