Last call for Hartlepool business awards entrants

The countdown has started for the deadline on this year's Hartlepool Business Awards.

Firms only have until March 15 to put themselves in the running for the competition which will culminate in a glittering finale at the Borough Hall on Thursday, May 12.

Prizes in the Service Sector, are up for grabs as well as in the categories of Manufacturer of the Year, Community, Business Leader of the Year and Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality.

There are also awards for Creative Industries, Young Entrepreneur, Most Promising New Business, and Investment in Training.

And the elite in Best Small Business will also be involved - as well as a new champion being crowned as the Overall Business of the Year.

Organisers have indicated that applications were coming in thick and fast for this year’s awards and they are anticipating a bumper year for entries.

This year, the Gus Robinson Foundation has taken over as the new sponsor for the Overall Business of the Year award. TV personality Jeff Stelling will be the guest of honour.

Hartlepool MP Iain Wright will also be at the event which attracts around 300 guests to the Borough Hall.

Tickets are £35 per person before April 1, and £40 after.
