Leeds United and Swansea City linked with move for Middlesbrough striker

Two more Championship clubs are reportedly keen on Britt Assombalonga

Assombalonga and his Boro teammates are set to return to Teesside following a pre-season training camp in Austria - where the striker is rumoured to have fallen out with boss Tony Pulis.

The ex-Watford striker only moved to the Riverside Stadium last summer in a club-record deal, but speculation has been rife regarding his future this summer.

Despite netting 14 goals last season, Pulis could potentially be open to letting Assombalonga leave the club - but only for the right fee.

Boro will not let the striker leave on the cheap and are also thought to be against loaning him out.

And reports today suggest that a number of clubs are keen on a deal for the Congolese frontman.

And reports in the North East state that Leeds United, Swansea City and Birmingham City have all been mentioned as potential destinations for the Boro striker.

Former club Nottingham Forest have also been linked, but they look set to seal the signing of former Sunderland striker Lewis Grabban.

The same report suggests that no deal for Assombalonga is thought to be close.
