The show will also feature comedy act Schooner and local singer George Williamson. The event will be hosted by BBC Tees radio presenter Paul ‘Goffy’ Gough.

The TV comic, who first achieved fame on ‘The Comedians’, said: “The people of Teesside are always up for a laugh, and I know Billingham Juniors are really giving this night a real big push to raise funds. They have made it a little different this year, as they normally have football dinners for the lads. It is great to know that the girls are going to be along this year too, we will have a great laugh, and raise funds for a great cause.”

Lee Shackelton, club chairman of Billingham Juniors, said: “To have Stan Boardman as our headline guest is a great boost. We normally have football dominated evenings at this time of year, but we wanted to make sure the event was more accessible this time round to all involved in our club. But we also wanted to open the doors to those that are looking for a great night out, that have no association with the club and just fancy spending a night of fun with us - everybody is welcome and I hope they will support us,” said Lee.

The fundraising evening from 7 until late will include a fork buffet with dancing following the cabaret. Show tickets priced £25 are available by contacting Lee Shackelton on 07872 610 893 .
