On September 19 I was admitted to the courtesy lounge prior to a knee operation.

Quite nervous, one by one I met the team, plus the surgeon, all assuring me everything would be okay.

I was impressed.

I was pushed into the operation room and was surrounded by the young team, who made sure I was in the right position, and held me there for the lumber punch.

They then re-arranged me, painted my leg and put the screen up.

Next minute I was in recovery with a cup of coffee and a painkiller.
