Featherstone will pick up the plaudits because of his goal but there were other fantastic performances by the Pools players as they continued their run of good form.

Liam Kennedy gives his player ratings below:

Scott Loach - A remarkable stop to deny Muggleton in the opening 45. Never lets Pools down... 7

Peter Kioso - This young lad has got everything. You wonder how they've managed to sign him... 8

Carl Magnay - Looks like hes' been a central defender all his life. Playing better in the centre than on the right... 8

Myles Anderson - Has really settled into the back three with ease... 6

Ryan Donaldson - Allowed much more of a license to attack. Looking better and better with his defensive work, too... 7

Nicky Featherstone - His best game in a Pools shirt in a long, long time. Brilliant goal capped a top class defensive performance... 8

Liam Noble - Roamed wide and between the lines to find space. Played as a No 10 at times in this encounter... 7

Michael Woods - Should have got his second of the season when played in by Muir. Adds a drive to the midfield, which was lacking in the opening exchanges this season... 7

Mark Kitching - The only real height in the team and always an outlet from set plays... 6
