Local author launches new book

Local author and poet Christine Robinson is launching her new book in Hartlepool on Saturday.

Beware the Porthole and other poems is a collection of poetry on the theme of cruising.

Christine, from Easington Colliery, became acquainted with life at sea she became a resident writer for a UK based cruise company four years ago.

She will give a talk on her experiences and recite a selection of poems from the book from 11am at Community Hub Central, in York Road, Hartlepool.
