Lovely Easter bonnets
Old time Easter bonnets,
How lovely they were.
With pretty little flowers
Tucked in here and there.
Wrapped around with ribbon,
Lightly made of straw.
How our great grandmothers
Must have loved the ones they wore.
If I were young again
I would choose those Easter times,
When the sun was shining
On our bonnets, yours and mine.
Tied again with ribbons
Underneath our chins.
Yet fashions change and re-arrange,
They may come back in.
