Man attacked by balaclava-clad pair in Hartlepool

Police have launched an investigation after a man was attacked in Hartlepool by men wearing balaclavas.

Carrick Street, Hartlepool.

Officers were called to Carrick Street at 5.30pm on Wednesday, after the incident which said to have involved two men in a black Ford Fiesta.

Two males in dark clothing wearing balaclavas got out of the car near to the junction of Davidson Drive.

They entered a house and attacked the occupant with a bladed weapon, before making off in the direction of Davidson Drive.

The victim is currently receiving treatment at hospital to his leg.
