Man remains in hospital with fractured skull after Hartlepool smash

A man is today in hospital after he was knocked over by a car in Hartlepool.

Police are appealing for information after a Vauxhall Insignia and a 23-year-old male pedestrian collided on Powlett Road towards Raby Road in Hartlepool.

The incident occurred yesterday at 6:25pm and as a result of the collision the pedestrian was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he is being treated for a fractured skull and shoulder and pelvic and leg injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the collision or anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact PC Lee Benson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 014815.
