Match ratings: How did Pools' players rate?
Yet again poor defending and refereeing decisions cost Hartlepool United at Barnet.
The decision from referee Nicholas Kinseley to dismiss Liam Donnelly, having already awarded a penalty was controversial.
In fact, given that the Northern Irishman made a genuine attempt to play the ball made it downright wrong.
Ultimately, on the decision the game turned.
But how did the Pools' players rate in the 3-2 loss? Here we take a look.
Pools starting XI
Trevor Carson - Barely put a foot wrong, but picked the ball out of the net three times. one outstanding stop in the opening 45... 7
Liam Donnelly - Was given a red card in the second period which changed the whole game around. To that point he was decent... 6
Toto Nsiala - Not one of his better games. Frustratingly gave the ball away in the first half. Got better in second... 5
Scott Harrison - Headed one off the line and was generally solid enough... 6
Jake Carroll - Was barely troubled defensively, early on. Even looked a threat going forward... 7
Nicky Featherstone (c) - For 45 minutes the midfielder had the run of the park. That all changed the longer the game went on, though... 6
Lewis Hawkins - The midfielder was excellent for around an hour. Probably Pools' stand out performer on the day... 7
Josh Laurent - Full of energy early on. Lively throughout, in fact. Chances to impact in and around the area were limited, though... 6
Lewis Alessandra - Linked up well with Amond and Thomas. Excellent one-two for the opener... 7
Padraig Amond - Put his off day in front of goal last week behind him. Worked his socks off... 7
Nathan Thomas - His departure was one of the main reasons things went pear-shaped. Pools will hope his injury is not too bad... 8
Jordan Richards (Nathan Thomas 74) 6
Nicky Deverdics (Lewis Hawkins 87, 6) 6
