Mayweather-McGregor: Savannah Marshall starts pro career with win in Las Vegas

The Hartlepool boxer, signed this summer by Mayweather Promotions, opened the show which is being headlined by her boss, in some style.
Marshall launched the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor undercard by subduing the tough American, LeBlanc, who came into the four-rounder with a winning record.

LeBlanc, from Louisiana came into the bout having taken world champion, Claressa Shields the full eight rounds in May, but Marshall made sure the 33-year-old never got a foothold in the bout.
The 26-year-old used her footwork superbly, boxing confidently behind her jab, taking the contest to LeBlanc.
Marshall forced her opponent onto the ropes, where Sydney successfully covered up.

Marshall, who had Headland coach Tim Coulter in her corner, though was soon on the front foot again, forcing the pace and forcing LeBlanc on the retreat.
All three judges scored it for the girl from Dyke House as she began her new career in emphatic fashion.
