A two over par gross score of 74, netted back to one of the best rounds of the year.

Leading scores - 1 M Williams 74-12- 62, 2 D Ross 84-17- 67, 3 W Davies 81-13- 68, 4 S Taylor 75-6-69, 5 J Burton 72-3- 69, 6 S Wilson 74-4- 70, 7 A Steele 93-22- 71, 8 N Bradwell 78-6- 72, 9 J Owens 77-5- 71, 10 L Bassam 73-1- 72.

Presidents Prize - Alan Carter saw a 1.5 fall in his stroke allowance after an excellent round netted the 20 handicapper a 66 for a one stroke win over Neal Thornley in the Presidents Prize competition.

With no major problems, the winner was almost stumped at the 17th, as once again this innocuous par five caught out another golfer on the home stretch and Michael could only make a seven, as happens to so many, so often. Well played all the same.
