Middlesbrough could have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo.

The youngster, who spent last season on loan at Fulham, could be set for a similar spell away from Anfield this season.

Ojo has been heavily linked with Boro in recent weeks having been touted as a potential replacement for Adama Traore - who continues to be the subject of plenty of speculation.

And Ojo's chances of a move to Teesside could have increased after Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admitted that it would be a 'no-brainer' to send the youngster out on loan once again.

Speaking to the Reds' official website, Klopp said: “Here it is a little bit difficult, especially for the offensive players.

"Ojo played a fantastic pre-season, really good and confident technically, really strong, improved a lot in tactical things and his attitude was great.

Meanwhile, Tony Pulis has revealed his transfer plans for the final week of the window.

The Middlesbrough boss confirmed that he is still hopeful of securing deals for three new signings before the transfer window closes.

Boro only have until August 9 to secure new additions after EFL clubs voted to bring forward the closure of the transfer window to remain in-line with Premier League clubs.

But despite only seven days of the window remaining, Pulis told supporters at the club's fans forum that he was optimistic three new faces would join before the deadline.
