Moped rider injured in rush hour crash

A moped rider was taken to hospital after a rush hour crash.

Cleveland Police officers were called to the junction of Marlowe Road and Catcote Road in Hartlepool at 5.40 this evening after an accident between a red Peugeot moped and a Mercedes van.

The rider of the moped suffered injuries at the scene which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The van driver was uninjured.
