TRAFFIC - 9.10am

Highways England North East reports that the services on the A1M at Bowburn in County Durham are closed from 9am until 4pm due to works.

The organisation tweeted: "Services closed #A1M at J61 #Durhamservices #Bowburn.

"Durham service area is closed between 9:00am to 16:00pm, due to works.

"We will update when the services are back open."

TYNE AND WEAR METRO - 4.05pm

Due to fleet availability, there are three cancelled peak trains this afternoon. The journeys that are affected due to this are as follows:
