Not all look like film stars

I see the makers of Barbie have released a new line of dolls in all shapes, sizes, ethnicity, and even hair type, in a bid to better represent real life.

They should be applauded for this, but there’s still a problem.

All of the dolls are very pretty, regardless of their body-type.

If they really want to reflect real life, shouldn’t there be some average looking, or even ugly dolls?

I know people of all different shapes and sizes, but few of them look like film stars.

We won’t end the objectification of women until Barbie has acne, a lazy eye and crooked teeth.
