With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic still causing chaos across the world, we asked the Mail readers for their opinions on extending the Brexit transition period with a view to securing a deal for the future.

Carol Burton: “No way should it be extended, they’ve dragged it out for far too long already. Deal or no deal, we leave the EU on December 31.”

Jeanna Osborne: “No, get the job done.”

Mike Wilson: “No, just another excuse to delay.”

Dot Flounders: “Definitely not, it's gone on long enough.”

NJ Ross: “Yes, but only to finalise the agreement with the EU. No to no deal.”
