Family pay tribute after death of motorcyclist, 35, in Hartlepool crash

The family of a Hartlepool motorcyclist who died after a road collision have led tributes to him.

The loved ones of Michael Clarke, 35, have released a photo of him as part of a tribute shared through Cleveland Police.

Mr Clarke died at the scene, with crash investigators appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward as they worked to establish the circumstances.

Officers have renewed their appeal for with those inquiries as they continue.

Today, Monday, November 30, his family have issued a statement in tribute to him, with flowers already left at the scene in his memory.

They said: “Michael was a much-loved son, brother, uncle, grandson, friend and dad.

"He had the time of the day for anyone, with the biggest beautiful smile and heart of gold.

“Michael loved to party, he was the life and soul and always the last one standing.

“We would like to thank family and friends for their amazing support through this devastating time.

“His death will leave such a huge hole in all our lives.

In the aftermath of the tragedy, Cleveland Police said its “thoughts remain with his family at this extremely difficult time.”

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the event number 192753.
