Benji, who was just 15, attended Manor Community Academy, Hartlepool’s army cadets and was a much-loved son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin.
His family invited friends to line the route from his home in the Oxford Road area to Stranton Cemetery as the horse-drawn funeral cortege passed by.
It was a send off to remember for Benji who will be greatly missed.
