Hartlepool Boots worker makes it to the final of Miss North Yorkshire - aiming to raise cash for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice

Justyna Cichomska, 23, who works at Boots at Hartlepool Marina, is a finalist in this year’s Miss North Yorkshire competition.
Prizes for the winner include direct entry into the national Supermodel England 2020 competition, an all-expenses-paid trip to Iceland and a professional photoshoot.

Hide AdBut caring Justyna said her main motivation for entering the competition is to raise money for Miss Yorkshire’s chosen charity, Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in Middlesbrough.
She said: “The competition was something that I always wanted to do since I was little but I never had the confidence before. Now in 2020 I just went for it.
“I don’t think I would have done it if Zoe’s Place wasn’t behind it. To me it’s not about winning but getting as much donations as possible for the charity.”
Zoe’s Place provide palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Hide AdThe Miss North Yorkshire competition is an official regional heat for Supermodel England and the live grand takes place on April 17.
It is set to be a glittering night with a catwalk fashion show and live entertainment.
Miss North Yorkshire say the competition gives contestants a window into the world of modelling, the opportunity to make life long friends and to give back to the community.
Justyna is appealing for supporters to vote for her at the Miss North Yorkshire Facebook page which contributes to her overall score.

Hide AdShe is also raising money for Zoe’s Place through a Just Giving page, is distributing raffle cards to local shops and businesses and is raffling off bouquets made of chocolate through her Facebook store Cuteaholic.
Justyna added: “I have done previous fundraising for Zoe’s Place through work when we have raised a lot of money.
“It is a charity that relies on donations to fund the staff and care of the children.”
