Danny, who made it to the final of the ITV show in 2015, filmed a hilarious sketch with Francine Lewis who tickled the nation’s funnybone two years earlier.

It is a spoof of Piers Morgan’s recent Life Stories show featuring reality TV personality Gemma Collins.

In it, Danny pokes fun at the Good Morning Britain hosts’s ranty interview style, with Francine playing Gemma and a number of other people from The Only Way Is Essex.

Danny said: “I met Francine when we went on Celebrity Pointless. She got in touch with me, we had a chat and she said ‘why don’t we do some videos together?’

"She said Gemma Collins was going to be on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories and that we should do a sketch together and I said ‘brilliant’.

"He’s not my best impression. I can only do him when he goes on one of his rants but Francine knows those characters inside out.

"It’s nice to work with other people.”

Danny, 34, also pops up in the sketch as Donald Trump praising Gemma’s work on ‘The Only Way Is Sussex’.

He and Francine filmed their parts in front of green screens in their homes and Danny used computer software to edit and add effects before they shared it on their social media channels.

Danny added: “We’re putting it out there really because you never know whose watching. There could be a TV producer who says ‘this works really well’.

"There’s not really been anything like it on television since The Impressions Show with John Culshaw and Debra Stephenson.

“The response from everybody who has seen it is they think it’s really good and they want to see more.”

Danny has also produced other internet sketches during lockdown taking on personalities including Judge Rinder.

And he became body coach Joe Wicks when he teamed up with comedian Lewis Denny and his Karen the Man character.

He said the lockdown has been hard by not being able to perform in front of live audiences but he is hopeful venues will reopen later this year.
