The team at Winterbottom Pharmacy on Winterbottom Avenue in Hartlepool, held an ‘elf day’ in an effort to raise £527.83 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Staff dressed up as Santa’s elves, held a raffle and even set up a Christmas scene for customers to take photos of their children in.

Hide AdHead dispenser Samantha Cooper from Hartlepool was explained that it wasn’t just a simple fundraiser for the pharmacy staff, there was a more personal connection to the day.
The 39-year-old said: “We chose the Alzheimer’s Society as my grandma unfortunately suffers from the illness and so does one of my colleague’s dad.
"We also have a lot of elderly customers who are suffering from Alzheimer’s too so it is definitely something that is close to our hearts within the pharmacy.”
Samantha has said that she was taken by surprise at the amount of money they managed to raise and thanked everyone for their support.
