David Coser took the photographs across Hartlepool – between Saturday, June 13 and Wednesday, July 1 – as a record of what life was like during lockdown in the town. And now, the images will form part of a new book named Hartlepool Underexposed, featuring 58 black and white shots. This book will be David’s second release, following on from Hartlepool in Focus. David said: “When I look at my images there seems to be a silence to them and I love the fact they're all in black and white as I feel it adds so much drama to them.” You can see a sample of David’s beautiful work in our picture special.
