Hartlepool sisters sing up for NHS by performing Bruno Mars hit

Singing sisters have put together their own take on a pop hit to show their thanks to the NHS workers.

Brooke and Maddison Paylor have recorded a version of Count On Me by Bruno Mars after seeing the tough job being done by frontline health staff.

Brooke, 13, who goes to Manor Community Academy, and Maddison, seven, who attends Fens Primary School, have been supported as their talent develops by Kyle’s Dream, which supports youngsters involved in the arts.

Their dad Sean, 33, put their track together with clips of video and photographs and shared it via YouTube.

It features part of a speech by Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he urged people earlier in the crisis to stay home, as well as images of NHS staff and carers from across the country as they dedicate their careers to helping tackle the outbreak of the virus and paintings of rainbows people have posted in their windows to show their support.

Mum Gill, 38, said: “My daughters have done this song for the NHS and we are so proud.”

“They love singing, particularly live and they just felt that it was way for them to give something back.

“Everyone is still going to work to care for others.

“All they want is for keyworkers to know we appreciate them.

“We’ve had some amazing feedback and everybody has been so supportive.

“They love being involved in Kyle’s Dream as well and they’ve recorded songs and done live lounges.”
