Hartlepool woman shaves head to raise money after mental health charity helps with recovery
Glynis Gardiner, 63 is shaving her head to raise money for the Mind charity to give something back after she was once a client there.
The 63-year-old now works part time as a volunteer at Mind and is raising funds for the organisation.

Hide AdShe said: “The charity have had a rough year with the pandemic and lockdown so it’s been quite hectic, I wanted to try and help raise some money for them.
"Mind means a lot to me as they’ve helped me when I was a client of theirs – I would be completely lost without them.”
The charity provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
Glynis’ head shave will be held next Monday, December 14 at the organisation’s socially distant Christmas event.

Hide AdShe added: “Mental health has been a particular concern this year with lockdowns and Mind has also been through some big changes during the year.
"Mind is a safe place where people are accepted – it is a really deserving charity."
The foundation closed during the first lockdown but continued to check in with clients virtually until they reopened earlier this year.
Glynis said: “I am really looking forward to shaving my head at the moment but it’s bound to hit me soon!”
