How you can support Hartlepool Foodbank with a donation this Christmas - this is what they need
With Christmas just around the corner, many people’s thoughts turn to those less fortunate than themselves.
And if you’re looking to do a good turn this festive season, Hartlepool Foodbank is appealing for donations to support those families across the town who need its help.
From Christmas food and treats to essential toiletries, the foodbank team needs you to top up its stocks so it can continue making parcels for those who may otherwise go without.
So while you pop to the supermarket to stock up for lunch on December 25, or that all-important festive buffet, please consider adding something else to your trolley for a good cause.
Hartlepool Foodbank’s warehouse is based at Middleton Grange and is open on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am and 12pm.
The final shift before Christmas will be taking place on Friday, December 20.
To access the warehouse, drive up the ramp at the back of the car park opposite the One Life Centre and ask for the foodbank on the intercom.
Here are the items Hartlepool Foodbank is appealing for in the run-up to Christmas:
Food and drink
Long-life fruit juice or fruit squash
Tiined or packet soup
Tinned rice pudding and custard
Instant mashed potato
Tinned meat or fish
Tinned vegetables or fruit
Feminine hygiene products
