Once the UK gets the ‘all clear’ and life returns to normal, there is a special offer awaiting the children whose hero parents are putting themselves at risk to treat the sick.

Geoff Lucas, a co-principal at the Elwick Dance Studios in Elwick Road, said: “We want to do something to show our gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful Hartlepool NHS Trust frontline staff, who are working tirelessly to help save our community from this horrible Covid-19 Virus.

“To say how much we care for them, we will be giving away courses of free dance lessons to some of the children of our frontline staff.”

Geoff described the offer as ‘a little token of the love we have for what they are doing for us at this time’.

He added: “As you all know, this cannot happen at the moment as we are closed to help self isolate until we are told otherwise.

“But when we are over this and able to safely reopen we will be able to gift these to them.”

He said the offer would start as soon as ‘the time is right’.

Geoff urged any NHS frontline worker in Hartlepool who is interested in taking up the offer – for their child to have a free course of dance lessons – to send him a private message on Facebook and leave their contact details.
