Last Christmas reclaimed as Mecca Hartlepool hosts festive event in June
Mecca Hartlepool is bringing some festive cheer this summer.
Coronavirus restrictions at the time left Poolies unable to mark Christmas as they normally would and Mecca wants to make up for the missed celebrations.
It will host a “unique” Christmas event on Friday, June 25, as part of a weekend of National Bingo Day celebrations.
Customers will be treated to full Christmas decs, mince pies, Christmas cocktails and a best Christmas jumper competition, as well as Christmas crackers and plenty of secret Santa surprises and Christmas tunes on.
There will also be a bingo game in support of children’s charity, Variety.
“Junemas” will kick off ‘a summer of missed moment events’ in Mecca clubs and the weekend will culminate with UK’s first ever National Bingo Day on Sunday, June 27, when two guaranteed £50k National Game jackpots will be up for grabs.
Michelle Doherty, the general manager at the branch, said: “We are thrilled to host this special and exciting weekend of events, giving a chance to our customers to catch up on missed moments. Merry Christmas everyone.
"With the entire nation being in lockdown last Christmas, many did not get the chance to celebrate like they normally would, so we are determined to turn that into a nicer memory.
"And with National Bingo Day’s opportunity to win life changing jackpots, we can’t help but imagine what our customer’s next Christmas could look like! ”
Christmas fans in the town have been in luck recently as Hartlepool pub the Nursery Inn also dusted down their festive decorations and put on a carol service at the end of last month.
