He needed to spend several days receiving treatment at Stockton’s University of North Tees following the incident in Hartlepool at the start of this month.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said on Monday, April 12: “The 37-year-old man suffered head injuries, a broken collarbone, cuts and bruises as he exited a moving bus around 2pm on Thursday, April 1, on Brenda Road/Seaton Lane, in Hartlepool.

“The man was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees where he spent a number of days receiving treatment.

“Officers are appealing for any witnesses or any passengers who were on the bus at the time of the incident to contact them.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Acting Sergeant Lee Benson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 50832.”
