Morale boost for Hartlepool care home staff with special delivery from Indian restaurant

Hard working staff at a Hartlepool care home were given a boost by a delivery of free food from an Indian restaurant.

The Golden Gate restaurant in Church Street, Hartlepool made the special delivery to Queens Meadow Care Home in Stockton Road as a gesture to thank them for all their efforts during this difficult time.

Staff tucked into curries, rice and other delicious dishes which helped keep spirits high and their stomach’s full.

Queens Meadow manager Julie Armstrong said: “The partner of one of our staff does deliveries and asked if they could deliver some food to us, and we said yes.

“It was really appreciated. They brought several meals, rices and dips for the staff working on Thursday evening.

“The staff thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a nice little boost. There was more than enough to go round.”

The home has also received deliveries of cakes and pastries from Greggs in the last fortnight.
