Perrie Edwards is pregnant as Little Mix star announces she and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are having a baby

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has announced she is pregnant with her first child.

The pop singer, who is from South Shields, has shared a photo of her baby bump on Instagram, she wrote: “So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!”

Edwards has been in a relationship with Liverpool FC footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain since early 2017.

A second photo showed her partner cradling her from behind.

He wrote on his own page: “Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies? so grateful and excited to become a dad. bring on the sleepless nights.”

The 27-year-old is the second member of the girl group to announce a pregnancy this month.

Last week Leigh-Anne Pinnock revealed she is expecting a baby with footballer fiance Andre Gray.

Fellow Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall and Sanddancer was among those sending their congratulations.

She wrote: “beaming for you both – I’m the luckiest auntie in the world! Love youuuuu x”

Pinnock added: “Arghhhhhhhh so so so happy for you both! And so bloody happy we get to go on this journey together! Love you so much.”

Lottie Tomlinson, sister of One Direction star Louis, and Ella Eyre were also among those who left messages under the photo.

The team is looking forward to welcoming back customers, opening as a cafe during the day and a bar until late.

Little Mix are due to play the North East as part of their Confetti tour, which has been pushed back to April 2022.

They had been due to perform at Newcastle Utilita Arena on Friday, May 7, and Saturday, May 8, this year, but those gigs will now take place on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16.

The group’s fourth member, Jesy Nelson, confirmed she was departing the act in December.
