Police becoming 'increasingly concerned' for welfare of missing Hartlepool man
Police are increasingly concerned for the welfare of missing Hartlepool man Gabriel Kariuki.
Gabriel, who is 26, was last seen in the Grange Road area of town at around 10pm on Monday, May 17.
Officers searching for Gabriel have updated information on the clothes he was believed to be wearing and asked for people to look out for him on public transport, particularly trains.
They say he could still be in Hartlepool or perhaps have travelled to the Midlands.
A Cleveland Police statement said on Wednesday afternoon that the force are “increasingly concerned” for his welfare.
It added: “Gabriel is described as a black male, medium build and around 5ft 6in tall with black hair which is braided on top and shaved at the sides.
“On the night he was reported missing, he was wearing a blue parka coat with a fur collar on the hood, a green hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and orange Nike trainers. He was carrying a black rucksack.
“Gabriel has links with the Midlands, particularly Birmingham, he may have travelled in that direction or may have remained in the Hartlepool area.
“Members of the public are asked to report any possible sightings or share information which may assist officers trying to find Gabriel on 101, reference 079458.”
