Mr Johnson and Ms Symonds announced their engagement – together with the news that they were expecting their first child – in February last year.

On April 29, 2020, Ms Symonds gave birth to the couple’s first child, a baby boy.

Wilfred became the third baby born to a serving prime minister in recent history.

In March that year, Mr Johnson tested positive for Covid and on April 5 he was admitted to St Thomas’ Hospital in London.
