Retired Hartlepool headteacher wins big on ITV1's Win Win with Postcode Lottery
A retired headteacher from Hartlepool is looking forward to a really wild time after winning a dream safari holiday on a primetime ITV game show.
Eddie Huntington landed the prize on Saturday night’s episode of Win Win with Postcode Lottery on ITV1.

The show, hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, sees contestants answer survey-style questions and compete for big prizes such as cars, holidays, experiences, and a guaranteed £1 million finale jackpot.
Viewers can play along live online too.
In the show, Eddie went head-to-head with fellow contestant Floyd from Fareham on the question, The Nation’s Top Ten Favourite Boy Bands.
Eddie won the round when his Take That answer shot him straight to the top of the leaderboard.
He won an incredible ten-day trip to South Africa with seven-days on safari and was given the choice of either keeping the prize or trading it for a spot on Millionaire's Row where just one player can win £1million.
Before securing the prize, host Mel Giedroyc asked him: “How good does that safari look to you?” to which he enthusiastically replied, “Oh, fantastic.”
Sue joked: “I can see you now on the back of a jeep, singing Gina G at the top of your lungs.”
After careful consideration, he decided to take the trip and treat his family to the unforgettable experience.
He told Mel and Sue: “My wife is a really outdoorsy person. She works at a forest school and loves being outside, so she'll absolutely love that prize.”
Eddie retired from Rosebrook Primary School in Stockton in 2020, to become Head of Education at Stockton Borough Council.
