The discoveries were made following the incident in Billingham on Wednesday, January 20, at around 7.15pm.

A Cleveland Police statement read: “Officers stopped and searched the vehicle and seized class A drugs and cash.

“The 29-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

“In connection with the arrest, officers then searched a property on Wollaton Road, in Billingham, where suspected class A drugs, drugs paraphernalia, an air weapon and three samurai swords were seized from the address.

“A woman aged 29 was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

"Both the man and woman have been released pending further inquiries.”
